Background: Street signs throughout the La Mirada have become faded and many of the metal support poles have failed or are near failure and need replacement. Federal regulations require that signs be replaced when reflectivity has faded (determined by a measurement testing program) or within a regularly scheduled duration. 

Work

This project included replacement of existing street name signs with larger mission-style font lettering, stronger standard rectangular signs, square painted posts, and use of streetlight pole mountings where available.

The project area included all residential streets and non-signalized arterial street intersections within La Mirada.
