Residents that are interested in keeping their neighborhood and the City of La Mirada safe are encouraged to join La Mirada E-Watch. The La Mirada E-Watch program is similar to E-News, but distributes crime and safety information to interested residents on a weekly basis. “Informed residents are the key to keeping the City of La Mirada safe,” says Public Safety Specialist Jose Amaya. “If they are informed about the types of crime that are affecting their area, they will know what to look out for and call the Sheriff’s Department.”

In joining the E-Watch program you will receive:

• Weekly crime summaries and maps
• Regular crime prevention tips
• Immediate BOLOs (Be on the Lookout)

In becoming a member of the E-Watch program you are asked to:

• Be the “eyes and ears” of the community
• Share crime trend and prevention information with your family, friends, neighbors
• Report suspicious activity
