The City of La Mirada has officially adopted the 6th Cycle Housing Element Update for the period 2021-2029. This update represents a comprehensive assessment of our city's housing landscape, both present and future. It outlines essential programs, policies, and strategies crucial for fostering the development and preservation of safe, accessible, and diverse housing options. Additionally, it pinpoints specific housing sites and programs required to meet California state mandates. By identifying the housing needs of our residents, we ensure that our policies and future housing initiatives align with the community's requirements. Presently, the implementation of the 6th Cycle Housing Element Update for 2021-2029 is underway, involving rezoning efforts and updates to policies and procedures.
