Construction Ended: Winter 2021
Funding Source:
Gas Tax, Measure R & M, RMRA SB1
Budget:
$4,000,000

Background: Many of the neighborhood streets in La Mirada were constructed over 50 years ago and, while they have received preventive maintenance, the pavement exceeded its useful life and required rehabilitation.  This project was the sixth phase of the City’s residential street rehabilitation projects.  It was the first phase to not use Measure I funding.

Work

Work included pavement rehabilitation, replacement of damaged curb, gutter and sidewalk, upgrades to existing and placement of new handicap curb access ramps, removal and replacement of slotted cross gutters, slurry seal of recently repaved streets within the project boundary, and lining of existing CMP storm drain pipe.

Project Area

Phase 6A was bounded by Imperial Highway, Milan Creek, Foster Road and Valley View Avenue; and Imperial Highway, Ocaso Avenue, Foster Road, Dalmatian Avenue and La Mirada Boulevard.  All local streets within these limits were included.  Imperial Highway, Ocaso Avenue, Foster Road, La Mirada Boulevard and Valley View Avenue were not part of this project.
