City of La Mirada
Home MenuSpring Beautification
The City’s annual Spring Beautification program recognizes homeowners for preserving the beauty of our community. Volunteer judges will be canvassing neighborhoods between April 1 and April 12. They will be searching for properties that demonstrate exceptional landscaping and exterior maintenance.
To help prepare your home and provide some added curb appeal, here are a few tips to ensure your home is looking its best:
- Store trash cans and waste items out of public view.
- Landscape should be well-kept and include adequate coverage.
- Roof should be in good repair.
- Remove holiday lights and other decorations.
- Vehicles should be operable and parked properly.
- Repair chipped or peeling paint/plaster on structures.
Property owners who have recently remodeled or made major improvements to their front landscaping may be eligible to be recognized as one of La Mirada’s Most Improved properties. Applications are being accepted through Friday, April 12 and are available at City Hall, Resource Center, and Activity Center. Applications must include a description of the work completed in the past year and “before” and “after” photos. Owners of selected properties will be honored at an awards ceremony on Monday, June 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts.
