The La Mirada Public Safety Team will host a free Elder Fraud Prevention Workshop on Wednesday, April 17 at 10 a.m. at the La Mirada Activity Center. This informative workshop will provide the latest crime trends affecting seniors, information on how to recognize and report suspicious activities, and ways to protect loved ones.
Sergeant Dana McCants of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, 33-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, including supervising the Department’s Real Estate and Elder Fraud Detective teams will be presenting the workshop.
Senior and family members are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is not required. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-seated basis. The La Mirada Activity Center is located at 13810 La Mirada Boulevard.
