Low Cost Pet Vaccination and Licensing Clinic

The City of La Mirada will host a Pet Vaccinations and Licensing Clinic on Thursday, March 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at La Mirada Regional Park, located at 13701 Adelfa Drive. Pet owners will have the opportunity to renew or obtain new animal licenses at discounted rates.

Veterinarian services will be provided by H.E.A.R.T. (Healthcare & Emergency Animal Rescue Team), a non-profit dedicated to helping protect pets and people and will include the following affordable services:

Altered dog                                                        $20

Unaltered dog                                                   $60

Senior Citizens-owned altered dog              $7.50

Senior Citizens-owned unaltered dog         $60

Altered cat                                                         $5

Unaltered cat                                                    $10

Pet vaccination and micro chipping will be available at the following rates:

Dog Rabies                                                         $7

Cat Rabies                                                          $7

Purevax for Cats                            1 year-$22, 3 years - $49

DHPP                                                                   $22

Bordetella                                                          $17

FVRCP                                                                  $22

FELV                                                                     $24

AVID Microchips for Cats                                $30

Proof of a prior rabies vaccine should be provided by pet owner to ensure a 3-year rabies vaccination as opposed to a 1-year vaccination. Valid proof in the form of a Rabies Certificate, License Renewal Notice, or license tag is acceptable. Only cash or credit card payment will be accepted for veterinary services (additional $3 charge for credit card payment). Checks are accepted for licenses.

The City of La Mirada requires all dogs and cats over the age of four months to be licensed. Residents unable to attend the Clinic can obtain pet licenses by visiting the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control website. Pet owners over the age of 60 are eligible for a reduced rate for animal licenses.
