Background: Many of the streets in La Mirada were constructed approximately 50 years ago and, while they have received preventative maintenance, the pavement has exceeded its useful life and must now be rehabilitated.  This project is the third phase of the City’s residential street rehabilitation projects to be funded by Measure I.

Work

The project includes pavement rehabilitation, replacement of damaged curb, gutter and sidewalk, upgrades to existing and installation of new handicap curb access ramps, removal and replacement of existing slotted cross gutters, and storm drain pipe repairs.  Also included in this phase is the installation of a new 48” reinforced concrete storm drain pipe in Lofthill Drive to improve drainage in the neighborhood.

Project Area

The project area is bounded by Stage Road, Alondra Boulevard, Dalmatian Avenue, Barnwall Street, Ocaso Avenue, La Mirada Boulevard, Rosecrans Avenue, and the east City limit lines.  Stage Road, Alondra Boulevard, La Mirada Boulevard, Rosecrans Avenue, and Santa Gertrudes Avenue are not part of this contract.
