Construction Starts: Summer 2015
Construction Ends: Winter 2016
Funding Source: Measure I
Budget: $3,880,000
Background: Many of the streets within the project were constructed approximately 50 years ago and, while they have received preventive maintenance, the pavement has exceeded its useful life and must now be rehabilitated. This project is the second of the City’s residential street rehabilitation projects to be completed with Measure I funds.

Work

This project includes asphalt concrete rehabilitation and replacement, replacement of damaged curb and gutter and sidewalk, removal and replacement of existing slotted cross gutters, and storm drain pipe repairs. In addition, new handicap curb access ramps will be installed where required, and existing ramps will be removed and replaced to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.

Project Area

The project consists of the residential streets bounded by Rosecrans Avenue, La Mirada Boulevard, Ocaso Avenue, Barnwall Street, Dalmatian Avenue, Alondra Boulevard, Stage Road and Biola Avenue.
