Background: Many of the streets in La Mirada were constructed approximately 50 years ago and, while they have received preventative maintenance, the pavement has exceeded its useful life and must now be rehabilitated.  This project is the fourth phase of the City’s residential street rehabilitation projects to be funded by Measure I.

Work

The project includes pavement rehabilitation, replacement of damaged curb, gutter, sidewalk and driveway aprons, upgrades to existing and placement of new handicap curb access ramps, and removal and replacement of existing slotted cross gutters.

Project Area

The proposed area of the project includes all local, public streets bounded by Rosecrans Avenue, Biola Avenue, Roma Drive, Whiterock Drive, Alicante Road and the east City limit.  Rosecrans Avenue, Biola Avenue, La Mirada Boulevard, Adelfa Drive, Alicante Road, Santa Gertrudes Avenue and Beach Boulevard are not part of this project.
