Background: The street rehabilitation project is located within the industrial area in the southern portion of the City. As a result of heavy truck traffic and age in this area, a number of streets are decaying rapidly. Roadway rehabilitation at this time will promote safety and reduce the maintenance costs.

Work

The project includes the resurfacing or reconstruction of asphalt street pavement utilizing conventional resurfacing and asphalt recycling techniques. In addition, the project includes replacement of damaged curb and gutter, and sidewalk.

The project area includes the following streets in the industrial area:
 
• Canary Avenue, Gannet Street to the cul-de-sac
• Canary Avenue, Alondra Boulevard to Heron Avenue
• Desmond Road, Trojan Way to the cul-de-sac
• Dolly Avenue, Desmond Road to City limit
• Gannet Street, Valley View Avenue to Canary Avenue
• Heron Avenue, Macaw Street to Phoebe Avenue
• Knott Avenue, Desmond Road to City limit
• Macaw Street, Heron Avenue to Phoebe Avenue
• Northam Street, Desman Road to the cul-de-sac
• Phoebe Avenue, Firestone Boulevard to Macaw Street
