This past summer, 11 swimmers participated in the USA National Team trials. Aivan Nguyen was named to the Junior National Team and will compete at the Swiss Open in Zurich, Switzerland.  Aivan Nguyen and Noelle Song have also been selected to the 2018 Junior National Team to compete at the Pan American Championships in Riverside, California in August 2018.

A number of La Mirada Aquabelles have gone on to swim in college. Rachel Hyon is swimming at Stanford University following teammates Isabella Park and Shiree Lee.  Rachel Warren is swimming at Ohio State University following teammate Shea Ramsey.

“It is such an honor for the City to be represented by the La Mirada Aquabelles,” says Community Service Director Lori Thompson.  “We are proud of these phenomenal athletes and the dedication the coaches put into the program.”

The Aquabelles will be performing as part of the Splash! La Mirada 10th anniversary celebration on Saturday, November 11.
