The City’s advisory bodies serve as an important part of the City’s policy-making process.  Advisory body members are appointed by the City Council and are responsible for performing studies on municipal issues and rendering opinions and advice to the City Council, as well as providing input on community goals.  La Mirada has seven advisory bodies including the Community Services Commission, Planning Commission, Public Safety Commission, Historical Preservation Advisory Council, Senior Council, Youth Council, and the La Mirada Community Foundation.

For more information on the City’s advisory bodies and how to join, contact City Hall at (562) 943-0131.
