Diane Gramajo and Misty Cota Minjares Appointed to La Mirada Community Services Commission
La Mirada residents Diane Gramajo and Misty Cota Minjares were recently appointed by the City Council to the Community Services Commission.
Gramajo a resident since 2000, is currently a licensed realtor and has volunteered in the community for a number of years.
Cota Minjares has been a La Mirada resident since 1976. She is also a licensed realtor, serves as a member of La Mirada Ebell, Love La Mirada Service Day Committee, and Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Board.
The Community Services Commission is responsible for developing recommendations to improve the quality of life in the community regarding social, recreational and cultural needs and programs.
The City’s advisory bodies serve as an important part of the City’s policy-making process. Advisory body members are perform studies on municipal issues and render opinions and advice to the City Council, on community goals. La Mirada’s advisory bodies include the Community Services Commission, Planning Commission, Public Safety Commission, Historical Preservation Advisory Council, Senior Council, Youth Council, and the La Mirada Community Foundation.
